ArgumentsEdit

  1. As a consequence of the consumption of animal proteins (in dairy, meat and eggs) calcium is leached from bones and teeth to neutralise blood acidity caused by the sulphur containing amino acids in animal proteins (especially cystine and methionine). Calcium leaching leads to less dense bones, fractures and osteoporosis. Studies show that diets high in vegetable and fruits encourage denser bones.
  2. Animal foods, especially dairy foods, increase the development of arthritis. A low fat, wholefood Vegan diet (which also excludes high risk plant foods such as potatoes, tomatos, corn, wheat, rye, oats, citrus and nuts) can reduce arthritis development, reduce cellular damage and help to deal with the syptoms of the disease once it has occurred.
